Veteran-owned · Fort Wayne

A furnace is a big purchase. You should know what it costs before anyone shows up.

We replace furnaces, air conditioners, and install whole-home generators across Northeast Indiana — and we tell you plainly what the job involves, what it runs, and whether you even need it yet.

  • One written price covering equipment, labor, venting, permit, and haul-away
  • We look at the duct, the vent, and the gas line before we quote
  • If the honest answer is “repair it one more season,” that’s what we’ll say

What we do

Four things, done properly

We’re not a four-trade generalist. Our name says what we do, and replacement work is most of it.

Heating

Furnace replacement

We size the furnace to your house, not to the one that came out — because if your home has had insulation, windows, or an addition since the last one went in, the old size is the wrong size. We look at the duct and the vent before we quote, and we tell you up front if replacing a chimney-vented furnace means the water heater has to be dealt with too.

Furnace replacement →
Cooling

Air conditioning replacement

Sizing it right is most of the difference between “cold” and “comfortable” — an oversized AC cools fast, shuts off, and never runs long enough to pull the humidity out. We check the furnace before we quote the AC, because they share a blower and share ductwork, and we’ll tell you which refrigerant you actually have and what that means for you.

AC replacement →
Backup power

Whole-home standby generators

An ice storm takes the power out and the furnace stops with it. A standby generator starts itself, runs on natural gas or propane, and keeps the heat and the sump pump going — which is the difference between an outage and a claim. Most people don’t need one that runs the whole house, and we’ll price the smaller one too.

Whole-home generators →
Payment

Financing

Almost nobody plans for a furnace to fail, and most replacements happen at a bad time financially. You can check your options through Wisetack in about a minute without affecting your credit score. We’ll show you the total cost and the monthly payment — both, before you sign anything.

How financing works →

How it works

Three steps, and no surprises in any of them

The part people dread is not knowing what happens next. So here it is.

1

Tell us what’s going on

Call or send the form. We’ll ask what the system is doing, how old it is, and what you’ve already been told. If it sounds like a repair rather than a replacement, we’ll say so on that first call — it costs you nothing to find out.

2

We look at the house

Not just the equipment. We check the ductwork, the returns, the venting, the gas line, and the electrical, because that’s where quotes diverge and where the surprise costs hide. You’re there, you can ask anything, and nobody is going to sit at your kitchen table running a pressure close.

3

One written number

Equipment, labor, venting, permit, and haul-away in a single price you can hold on to and compare. If financing makes sense, you see the total and the monthly payment side by side. Then you decide — on your schedule, not ours.

What we won’t do: quote a replacement over the phone. Anyone who names a price without seeing the vent, the duct, and the gas line is guessing, and the guess gets corrected on installation day.

Financing

See what you qualify for before you commit to anything

You can check your financing options through Wisetack in about a minute. Prequalifying does not affect your credit score — you see real options and real numbers before anything is decided.

  • Takes about a minute, and you get an answer right away
  • Prequalifying is a soft check — it does not affect your credit score
  • You see the total cost, not just the monthly payment
  • Financing is never required to get our best price

And if it’s not the right move — if you’d rather write a check, or repair for one more season and replace next fall on your own terms — that’s a perfectly good answer and we’ll say so.

Not sure it needs replacing at all?

Six questions about the unit’s age, the repair quote you’ve been given, and how long you’re staying in the house — and you get a straight answer with the reasoning shown. No email required to see it. Sometimes the answer is “just fix it,” and we’d rather you hear that from a page than from a salesperson.

What you're actually covered for

Four warranties, and a straight explanation of what each one really does.

Every HVAC company in Fort Wayne advertises a long warranty. Almost nobody tells you what it covers. Here is ours, in plain words, including the part most companies leave out.

20yr

Heat exchanger

The part that actually kills a furnace. Covered for twenty years by RunTru — and it stays twenty years whether or not the unit is registered.

10yr

Parts

Ten years on parts — but only if the unit is registered within 60 days of installation. Miss that window and it drops to five. We file the registration for you the day we finish, so it never gets missed.

2yr

Labour — ours

Here is the part that matters. A manufacturer warranty covers the part, never the labour to fit it. A compressor under warranty still leaves you a bill for the visit. For two years, we pay that too.

15yr

Workmanship

Everything we install around the unit — duct connections, the condensate drain, wiring and disconnects, refrigerant lines, the pad. Fifteen years. If our work is at fault, we come back and fix it.

One thing worth knowing before you compare quotes

You will see “10-year installation warranty” and “lifetime workmanship guarantee” on other quotes. Read what they cover. Usually it is the ductwork straps, wire nuts, pipe hangers and the concrete pad — a few hundred dollars of hardware that almost never fails.

That is not the same as a labour warranty. Labour is what costs you money: a technician diagnosing the fault, pulling the old part and fitting the new one. On a compressor that is commonly $600–$1,200, even when the part itself is free under the manufacturer’s warranty.

Ours runs fifteen years — longer than anyone we have seen locally — and we still think the two-year labour cover is the more useful promise. Ask any company you are quoting: “does your warranty pay the labour, or only the part?”

Why buy from us

Veteran-owned, and set up so nothing falls through the cracks.

A furnace is a fifteen-year decision. What separates a good install from a bad one is rarely the box — it is whether the details got done and whether anyone answers the phone in year three.

We do the paperwork

  • Your warranty registered within 60 days — the step that doubles parts cover from five years to ten, and the one most often missed
  • The permit pulled and the inspection handled
  • Your model, serial and warranty dates kept on file, so you never have to find the paperwork

One written price

  • Equipment, labour, permit, line set, thermostat, pad, haul-away — all in the number we give you
  • No trip charge and no disposal fee bolted on afterwards
  • If the honest answer is “repair it one more season”, we say so

Equipment we stand behind

  • RunTru by Trane — built by Trane, on the current R-454B refrigerant
  • Generac authorised for whole-home standby generators
  • Sized to your home, not to the box we happen to have

Curious what yours would cost?

Take a photo of the sticker on your furnace. We’ll tell you.

Every furnace and air conditioner has a metal sticker with a model and serial number on it. Those two numbers tell us how old it is, how big it is, and what it would take to replace — without anyone coming to your house.

Where to find it

  • Furnace — inside the front panel, or on the side of the cabinet near the burner. Pop the door off; it’s usually a silver or white label.
  • Air conditioner — on the back or side of the outdoor unit, near where the wires come in.
  • You want the numbers labelled MODEL and SERIAL. Get close and steady — the whole unit in frame doesn’t help us, the numbers do.

Sometimes the honest answer is that yours has years left in it. We’ll tell you that too — we’d rather you call us in three years than feel sold to today.

Send the photo

One picture and your name. That’s the whole thing.

📱 Want your quote by text as well as email? Tick below and we’ll send it both ways. Optional, and it won’t change your price.

Already got a quote?

Send us the other quote. We’ll tell you what it actually covers.

Two furnace quotes that look $2,000 apart are usually not the same job. One carries the permit and the other doesn’t. One replaces the vent, one reuses it. One includes a 10-year parts warranty, the other gives you five.

Send us what you were quoted — a photo of the paperwork is fine — and we’ll come back with a written, line-by-line comparison, plus our number for the same scope of work.

What we promise

  • A real comparison in writing — equipment, efficiency, warranty, permit, venting, haul-away, and anything they marked as extra
  • Match or beat, where the scope matches — if they quoted the same work with comparable equipment, we’ll meet or beat it
  • The truth if theirs is the better deal — sometimes it is, and we’ll say so rather than waste your evening
  • Your quote stays private — we never contact the other company and we don’t share what you send

No obligation, and no salesperson turning up at your door because you asked.

Send it over

Takes a minute. A phone photo of the quote is plenty.
